Must-Have Kitchen Cookware & Bakeware for Fall

by Product Specialist

Clear out the clutter and prepare your kitchen by taking an inventory of what you currently have in your cupboards and storage spaces. Toss out any inferior, damaged, or shoddy bakeware and crockery, and make a list of what you need to look for when shopping for new kitchen implements this fall.

Some must-haves for your kitchen this fall include these finds:

A slow-cooker. A sure sign of the season is when slow-cookers are pulled out and used! These are a great way to cook comforting meals with little effort during chilly weather.

A Dutch oven. A nice deep Dutch oven is the benchmark of so many wintry dishes, from stews and soups to cornbread and cakes!

Cast-iron frying pan. A good cast-iron frying pan will last a lifetime. These are the perfect housewarming or wedding gift for a new couple, too.

A pepper-grinder. A good cook needs a good grinder for peppercorns or coarse salt. Go with a hand-held, manual grinder that is easy to operate.

Ceramic loaf pans. Ceramic or glazed loaf pans won't stick and might brown more evenly than metal pans do.

A charcuterie board. Another great fall menu might include a charcuterie platter, which is commonly served on a charcuterie board. This resembles a cutting-board, and often has divots for the shaved meats and sliced cheeses that it displays.

Cookbook holder. If you plan on doing more cooking this fall, you likely will use a cookbook at some point. Invest in a cookbook holder to avoid aggravation of trying to see the recipe as well as avoid the damage that being in the kitchen can cause to your cookbooks.
